In short, BottleCrop is lettuce and herbs grown in a bottle. It is the smallest hydroponic Urban-Farming-System in the world and it was developed to cultivate lettuce and different herbs on a sunny window sill. The handling is absolutely easy and BottleCrop can be reused again and again. After arranging the set, there is almost nothing to do, except waiting. BottleCrop works without soil, so no dirt or snails could get on the plants. The protective box can be opened, so the growth of the roots can be observed at any time. BottleCrop saves the environment in a modern way – i.e. the system saves up to 97 percent of water compared to an open field lettuce.
